Rip's Bar & Grill

 Traci Ripperda ("Rip") is from a small town in NW Iowa.  Growing up she worked at the family bar, The Trophy Case, and has had a variety of Bar jobs ever since.  As a version of the saying goes... "You can take the girl out of the Bar, but you can't take the Bar out of the girl".   

Rip eventually met her future husband, Tyrone Schwieger, in a Bar.  At the time, Tyrone ("Ty" or "Rone") was slinging beer for Fleck Sales and it was wonderfully complicated at first sight.  Ty is from Cedar Rapids and he has coached HS Football for more than 20 years. 

Rip and Ty eventually planted roots on the SW side of Cedar Rapids and have two boys, Max and Ace.  Their boys are very active in sports and Ty currently coaches High School Football at Prairie.  

With the ever-expanding business and housing landscape on the SW side and with their backgrounds in the Bar Biz, Rip and Ty see an opportunity to start a family-friendly sports bar and grill.
